IBCS CERTIFICATIONS FOR TAKING THE EXAM


A. Applications for the International Board of Cosmetic Surgery examination must be accompanied by the following certifications or letters from the Program Directors:
- Surgical training of at least one (1) year
- Cosmetic surgery training of at least 52 weeks

B. The applicant is responsible for supplying these certifications

C. The applicant must certify that he/she has been in the practice of cosmetic surgery for at least one (1) year following training

D. All completed applications, credentials, and fees must be received at least 60 days prior to the examination
E. Any false statements in the application will result in automatic failure of the examination without return of fees if the examination has been taken

F. Each application must be accompanied by a list of 100 cases of cosmetic surgery performed by the applicant with patient initials or identification number, dates of surgery, and name of the surgical procedure. Twenty (20) of these cases must be submitted with preoperative and postoperative photos and operative report.
